Terms and Conditions – Hitchin Tutoring Co.

1. General Terms
1.1 These Terms and Conditions apply to all tutoring services provided by Hitchin Tutoring Co. By booking and paying for tutoring services, you agree to these terms.

1.2 Hitchin Tutoring Co. reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Any updates will be communicated to clients where applicable.

2. Group Classes

2.1 Group classes must be booked as a complete block. Individual sessions within a block cannot be booked separately.
2.2 Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to secure a place in the group classes.
2.3 If a student misses a class, catch-up work may be provided at the tutor’s discretion, but no refunds or rescheduled sessions will be offered.

3. One-to-One Tutoring

3.1 Payment for one-to-one tutoring sessions must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled session.
3.2 Sessions cancelled or missed by the client are non-refundable.
3.3 If the tutor needs to amend or cancel a session, as much notice as possible will be given. If an alternative session time is not suitable, a full refund will be provided.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

4.1 No refunds are given for missed or cancelled sessions by the client.
4.2 In exceptional circumstances, the tutor may consider alternative arrangements at their discretion.
4.3 If the tutor cancels a session and an alternative cannot be arranged, a refund will be issued.

5. Responsibilities

5.1 The client is responsible for ensuring that students attend sessions on time.
5.2 The tutor will deliver high-quality tutoring sessions and provide relevant learning materials where appropriate.
5.3 Students must behave appropriately during tutoring sessions. If a student’s behaviour is disruptive, their caregiver may be required to accompany them for future sessions.

6. Liability

6.1 Hitchin Tutoring Co. is not responsible for any loss of progress due to missed sessions.
6.2 Hitchin Tutoring Co. is not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal belongings occurring during tutoring sessions.
6.3 The tutor will take reasonable steps to ensure a safe learning environment but cannot be held liable for any unforeseen incidents beyond their control.
